1. Catch a Leprechaun
Catch a leprechaun and he will lead you to his pot of GOLD
! Decide on who will be a leprechaun and ask that child to go for a walk with dad. When the child enjoys the walk, help other children to build a leprechaun trap. You can use shoeboxes, baskets, strings, or anything that will help you to catch a leprechaun. Let your husband know when the trap is ready and start a game.2. Send your kids on a scavenger hunt
No holiday is complete without a scavenger hunt, St. Patrick’s Day is no exception. Send your children on a hunt to find a pot of GOLD
. Fill the jar with chocolate GOLD coins and hide it so that children couldn’t find it quickly. Cut out lots of small green footprints and place them around the room/house. If you have a big house, it’s a great activity you can enjoy all day long! Make a starting point and ask children to follow footprints to find that pot of gold.3. Green Guessing Game
This family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day game is perfect for small kids. Start with filling the jar with green shamrock candy and chocolate gold coins, counting them (you should be the only one who knows the number of coins and candies in the jar). Ask everyone to write their names and the guess numbers of gold coins and candies in your jar. Then, ask your children count the candies and chocolate gold coins in the jar. The winner is a person who guessed the closest to the actual number of coins and candies in the jar.

4. Hot Potato Game
This game is simple – all you need is one potato. Children sit in a circle, except one child who sits in the middle and who is a leprechaun. At your SIGNAL
, the leprechaun throws a potato to one of children in the circle. Then, the leprechaun should close their eyes, wait until the potato is passed among all kids in the circle and suddenly say “Shamrock!” The child with a potato leaves the circle. Continue to play until one child is left in the circle. The winner become a leprechaun in the next game.5. Shamrock Hop
If you are planning to throw a St. Patrick’s Day party for children, this game is a must-try. The game is perfect for 6 or more players. The more kids, the funner. Depending on the number of children you have, cut out a few large shamrocks from green construction papers. Use tape or string to mark a starting line and a finish line. Ask kids to form pairs. A player from every pair should stand at the starting line with a large shamrock in front of them. Another player from each pair should have a few large shamrocks as well.

, have players who are at the starting line hop with their feet together onto the shamrocks in front of them.
